This course is based on the ground breaking research of Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn and will focus on teaching practical skills to support physical and mental wellbeing.
A sizable body of research over the past 30 years has indicated that by practicing mindfulness regularly participants can learn to live and cope with stress related conditions and pressures of everyday life.
This course will be facilitated by Maura Mc Guinness.
The practice of mindfulness is about being present and awake to each moment of our daily lives. It helps us to direct attention to what is happening in the present moment in contrast to our more habitual states of mind where we are often preoccupied with going over what has happened in the past to worrying about the future. Although we are often unaware of the power of our thinking, it has a profound effect on how we live.
You are invited to take time out from your busy schedules and enjoy the peace, beauty and Spring colours at this warm and inviting venue in the environs of the ancient holy site of Ardcarne.
This course is suitable for all people regardless of mindfulness experience.
