Welcome to this week's newsletter

The recent mild weather has encouraged early flowers on quite a few winter and early spring flowers, especially hellebores (shown above). These tough perennials really are invaluable for their colourful blooms in the depths of winter. We've some very exciting new varieties just in stock such as 'Anna's Red', 'Penny's Pink' and 'Molly's White' - do call in and check them out.

We're starting the New Year with some very interesting events, including part 2 of 'Looking After Your Brain' by Dr. Wilma Lourens. The talk Dr. Wilma gave in November on ways to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimers was hugely popular and this is a follow up talk with an emphasis on foods and physical exercise.(see below for more details). The other talk we have coming up is on Composting & ways to Recycle in the Garden which is hugely important for our environment and can have many other benefits.

Hope to see you soon
