National Tree Week was officially launched by Thomas Pakenham on Sunday 20th March at the National Botanic Gardens marked by a talk on the wonderful trees of Tullynally Castle & Gardens, and a tree-planting ceremony.
Various events continue to be held through the week so it's not too late to catch one of these and even if you can't make it to an event, the tree council are encouraging everyone to visit a local woodland and just take the time out to appreciate the wonderful world of trees! You can find a list of local woodlands to explore here >>>
There are also a number of online webinar events which you can register for and enjoy from the comfort of your home.
Of course there is no better or more personal a way of celebrating National Tree Week than to plant a tree of your own, and we have a range of trees available at Ardcarne Garden Centre to suite all types of garden so why not pay us a visit or check out our trees online.
